POSITION SUMMARY

Compass Resorts is seeking a detail-oriented, relationship-driven Rental Manager to oversee the performance and day-to-day operations of our vacation rental properties in Destin, FL. This role is well-suited for a methodical professional who thrives on managing multiple homes and/or condos with precision and ensuring each property meets our quality standards for strong occupancy and profitability. Success in this position requires a solid understanding of vacation rental operations, the ability to analyze revenue and occupancy trends, and a high level of accuracy in tracking details across a diverse portfolio.

As the primary point of contact for property owners, the Rental Manager builds trust through clear communication, proactive oversight, and dependable follow-through. You will work closely with operations, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest relations to ensure homes are well cared for and issues are addressed efficiently. This role plays a critical part in protecting owner assets, upholding Compass Resorts’ brand standards, and delivering the consistent, high-quality management experience our owners rely on.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned property owners, building trust through clear, consistent communication and strong long-term relationships.

  • Oversee the day-to-day performance of assigned vacation rentals, ensuring alignment with company standards and owner expectations.

  • Monitor rental revenue, occupancy, and pricing trends, identifying opportunities to improve performance and optimize owner returns.

  • Collaborate closely with reservations, marketing, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest relations to ensure seamless, well-coordinated operations.

  • Conduct regular property inspections and quality reviews to ensure homes meet brand, safety, and presentation standards.

  • Address owner questions, concerns, and performance feedback promptly with a professional, solutions-focused approach.

  • Review owner statements, budgets, and financial reports for accuracy and clarity prior to owner communication.

  • Partner with leadership to support revenue strategies, property enhancements, and operational improvements that drive owner satisfaction and retention.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 years of experience in property management, vacation rentals, or asset management, with direct responsibility for owner relations and property performance.

  • Strong understanding of rental revenue drivers, including pricing strategy, occupancy management, and performance analysis, is preferred.

  • Proven ability to build trusted owner relationships through clear communication, transparency, and proactive problem-solving.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple properties and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Confident communicator capable of presenting property performance, recommendations, and operational updates clearly and professionally.

  • Collaborative team player with experience working cross-functionally across operations, marketing, housekeeping, maintenance, and leadership.

  • Comfortable using property management systems, revenue tools, and reporting platforms, with the ability to adapt quickly to new technology.

  • Self-directed, accountable, and solutions-focused, with flexibility to participate in a rotational on-call schedule as needed.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Annual Salary

$55,000 - $75,000

Bonus

Annual bonuses are awarded based on performance and merit.

Schedule

Full Time, Monday - Friday 9 am to 5 pm with weekend and on-call availability.
