Copower was established in 2001 to provide services in the design, assembly, operation, and maintenance of gas and steam turbines and generators, diesel and gas power generation plants, photovoltaic generation systems, EPC/PPA projects, electrical testing, diesel equipment rental, oil and gas projects, generator maintenance, and balance-of-plant (BOP) services. The Commercial Operations Engineer reports directly to the USA Sales Manager and supports commercial and proposal activities for Copower’s power generation and industrial projects. This role supports both U.S. and Latin American workloads and may require sporadic domestic and international travel.
The position focuses on analyzing technical specifications, understanding client needs, and preparing commercial and technical proposals for services and solutions across Copower’s installed base and key accounts in the power generation, data center, oil & gas, and industrial sectors.
Analyze negotiation conditions and prepare proposals with optimized costs under pressure and tight deadlines
Review, analyze, and interpret tender documents for public and private bids, ensuring technical, commercial, and administrative compliance
Understand client technical and budgetary requirements to prepare appropriate proposals
Draft questions and request clarifications within bid and response deadlines
Prepare and submit required documentation for bidding processes
Structure and present bids, including proper follow-up
Prepare technical proposals with optimized costings and clear scope documentation
Validate technical and economic feasibility with supervisors, identifying potential project risks
Obtain quotes from local and international suppliers for equipment and services
Negotiate supplier pricing, delivery times, and commercial conditions
Coordinate with execution teams to ensure proposal alignment
Perform additional duties assigned by the immediate supervisor in support of company growth
Electrical, mechanical, electronic, or industrial engineering background
Strong analytical skills with attention to costing and documentation
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
Results-oriented, resilient, and detail-focused
Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred)
Hourly rate: $16–$18/hour
