POSITION SUMMARY:

We're looking for a detail-oriented Accountant who thrives on precision and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work. In this role, you'll manage monthly bookkeeping and sales tax filings for multiple clients at our growing CPA firm in Maitland, FL. You'll work independently while maintaining strong client relationships, using your expertise in QuickBooks and accounting best practices to keep financial records organized and compliant. This position is ideal for someone who values craftsmanship in their work, enjoys problem-solving, and can balance multiple client needs with meticulous attention to detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform monthly bookkeeping for a variety of client accounts

  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements

  • Prepare and file sales tax returns accurately and on time

  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records

  • Communicate with clients to gather information and answer bookkeeping questions

  • Work closely with CPAs to support tax preparation and financial reporting

  • Use accounting software efficiently to manage client data

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bookkeeping or accounting experience (CPA firm experience a plus)

  • Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and/or QuickBooks Online

  • Experience preparing and filing sales tax returns

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Excellent customer service and client communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines

  • Degree not required — relevant experience is valued

  • Prior experience working with multiple clients (preferred)

  • Familiarity with accounting workflows in a CPA firm environment (preferred)

Schedule

Monday- Friday 8:30- 5:30
