JCQ Services is hiring a Project Scheduler – Construction to build, maintain, and analyze project schedules in close coordination with project management, superintendents, subcontractors, and accounting. This role owns schedule controls, risk and impact assessments, change/order and delay documentation, and reporting; while supporting forecasting and claim mitigation through time impact analysis and scenario modeling.
Develop and maintain the baseline project schedule in coordination with project management, superintendents, and subcontractors.
Use established best practices and scheduling software to implement, maintain, and analyze project schedules, including resource loading, cost loading, and sequencing.
Coordinate project controls to assess risk in accordance with established best practices and standards.
Analyze schedule changes and evaluate their impact on project cost and timeline.
Prepare and present risk and time impact assessments related to schedule changes to the project team.
Ensure all project change orders and delays are properly documented, analyzed, and reviewed.
Communicate schedule and cost impacts clearly to project stakeholders.
Lead project scheduling meetings, ensuring appropriate representation from project management.
Prepare and distribute detailed weekly, monthly, and quarterly schedule reports.
Work closely with accounting personnel to forecast and manage the project budget in relation to the project schedule.
Perform claim mitigation and estimating, including developing what-if scenarios and contingency plans.
2-3 years of project scheduling experience
Claim experience required
Time impact analysis experience required
Microsoft Project and Procore experience required
Strong understanding of scheduling concepts including baseline schedules, progress schedules, recovered schedules, total float, critical path, predecessors and successors, near-critical paths, float trending, percent complete, float ownership, and constraints
Construction Management degree preferred
Ability to make confident, timely, and fact-based decisions across a broad range of resources
Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work within large teams, and solve complex problems
Salary Range: $85,000 annually
