Red Cottage is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping operations. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who thrives on structure, consistency, and operational excellence. You'll oversee a network of cleaning partners, drive quality assurance initiatives, and ensure every property meets Red Cottage's high standards. As the backbone of our housekeeping operation, you'll manage day-to-day workflows, coordinate with multiple teams, and solve problems quickly to keep everything running smoothly. Lead and manage a growing network of contracted cleaning partners, ensuring consistent standards and alignment with Red Cottage's brand expectations.
Support new property onboarding initiatives through comprehensive inspections, documentation, and information gathering.
Meet with homeowners from time to time to resolve housekeeping concerns, align on expectations, and incorporate owner preferences into service delivery.
Own and evolve Red Cottage's inspection and quality assurance program, working closely with a growing team of inspectors to maintain pace with industry expectations.
Own the day-to-day housekeeping operation, managing workflows, staffing, and scheduling to support arrivals, departures, and service needs.
Recruit, onboard, and train new service providers, ensuring alignment with Red Cottage standards and compliance with company policies.
Conduct regular property and storage inspections to maintain cleanliness, readiness, and brand standards.
Identify and report maintenance issues and coordinate closely with Maintenance and local Operations teams for timely resolution.
Drive process improvements to increase efficiency, consistency, and service quality.
Communicate priorities and expectations through daily and weekly team touchpoints.
Assist with cost control and resource planning to support operational efficiency and profitability.
Build strong working relationships with regional teams and senior leadership.
2+ years of experience in housekeeping, or hospitality operations; hotel, vacation rental, or similar industry experience strongly preferred.
Prior management experience in a similar environment is preferred.
Experience with vendor selection, management, and basic contract negotiation is a plus.
Tech-savvy, with experience using digital systems and applications; comfortable using mobile apps and software platforms.
Spanish as a second language is a plus.
Clear, thoughtful communicator, comfortable engaging with service providers, homeowners, and internal teams.
Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
Reliable personal transportation required due to frequent travel between properties and storage locations.
Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs.
