Position Summary

We’re seeking a year-round Maintenance Technician (Carpenter) to join our team supporting homes across Mount Desert Island. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in precise workmanship, enjoys solving problems independently, and thrives in a steady, structured environment.

You will report to the Maintenance Manager and collaborate closely with the rest of our Maintenance Department. You’ll also complete tasks using a company vehicle, tools, and an iPad for documentation and workflow management.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general property maintenance and repairs across our portfolio.

• Serve as the primary resource for projects requiring advanced carpentry or construction skills, especially during the off-season.

• Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently and professionally.

• Communicate clearly with team members, homeowners, and guests when needed.

• Maintain accurate, detailed task documentation using a company-issued iPad.

• Utilize company-provided tools and vehicle to complete assigned work.

What We’re Looking For (Required Qualifications)

• At least 1+ year as an experienced technician with strong carpentry/construction background.

• Reliable, detail-oriented, and proud of their craftsmanship.

• Strong problem solver and clear communicator.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Rate: $30–$35/hour

Work Schedule

Full-time, Monday–Friday (8:30/9:00 AM – 4:30/5:00 PM), with occasional flexibility for rare after-hours emergencies.
