Giles Law, PLLC is seeking a motivated Contract Civil Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team in Phoenix. This flexible, hybrid role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced litigator to leverage their persuasive advocacy skills and strategic thinking while managing complex civil matters. You'll work independently on high-impact assignments, crafting compelling legal arguments and contributing meaningful insights to case strategy. Whether you're drafting powerful motions, conducting critical legal research, or preparing for depositions and hearings, you'll play a vital role in achieving successful outcomes for our clients. Depending on experience and availability, the Contract Civil Litigation Attorney may:
Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and other legal documents
Conduct legal research and analyze case law relevant to litigation strategy
Assist with discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery
Review documents, evidence, and case materials to support case development
Prepare for depositions, hearings, and mediations, etc.
Contribute to case strategy discussions with the litigation team
Identify legal issues, risks, and opportunities within assigned matters
Meet deadlines and manage assignments independently while collaborating with the team
Communicate professionally with attorneys, staff, and, when appropriate, clients
Responsibilities may vary based on case needs and the attorney's strengths.
Licensed and in good standing with the Arizona State Bar
Minimum of 3 years of civil litigation experience (more experienced candidates encouraged to apply)
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Ability to manage assignments independently and meet deadlines
Professional judgment and attention to detail
Experience with Arizona courts, procedures, and rules
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a legal team
Experience preparing for depositions, hearings, or trial is a plus
Familiarity with litigation technology and case management systems preferred
Experience with complex civil or commercial litigation matters is beneficial
Hourly Rate - Determined based on experience
Schedule - Flexible
