POSITION SUMMARY

Nocturne Luxury Villas is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Jacksonville, FL. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to work independently while managing a diverse range of accounting functions across multiple entities. You'll be instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable, preparing journal entries, and supporting both internal teams and external auditors. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong analytical abilities, and takes pride in delivering precise financial reporting that directly impacts our luxury villa operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages and processes accounts payable for operating expenses.

  • Codes payable invoices for approval using Microsoft Dynamics.

  • Reconciles, codes, and uploads employee credit card expenses.

  • Prepares monthly journal entries for prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, and depreciation.

  • Maintains monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Reconciles bank accounts.

  • Assists with the consolidation of multiple entities and preparation of financial reporting package.

  • Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.

  • Assists with annual 1099 tax filing for vendors.

  • Audits and processes guest payments and outside travel agent receivables, including chargebacks.

  • Assists with monthly and yearly owner statement review and payment processing.

  • Works with internal team members (concierge, operations, customer service) to satisfy needs of the company relating to finance and accounting issues.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A four year degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.

  • Two years basic accounting experience preferred.

  • Effective communication skills in spoken and written formats with both internal and external customers.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Basic knowledge of Property Management Systems (i.e. Track) is a plus but not required.

  • Demonstrated ability to utilize internal computer software, web-based resources, and Microsoft Office programs.

  • Ability to learn and utilize multiple systems in the completion of job functions.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment.

  • Decision making skills in situations where variables exist.

  • Ability to assess situations and make mutually beneficial decisions within established guidelines.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Annual Salary

$55,000 - $60,000

Bonus

10% of annual base salary, subject to applicable deductions and withholdings. For 2026, the bonus will be pro-rated for the portion of the year employed.
