We are searching for a strategic, highly precise, and technically proficient Project Manager / Architect who excels at building and leading strong client, consultant, contractor relationships. This role requires a professional who takes full ownership of a project from initial kickoff through final completion, actively guiding the entire design team in delivering work that aligns with an Owner’s project scope, schedule, and budget. In this role, you will lead and actively participate in all phases of design and documentation, ensuring that the work reflects the Owner’s agreed upon design vision. You will lead the coordination closely with consultants, contractors, and clients, serving as the primary point of contact and communication throughout the project design and into construction administration. We are looking for a candidate who is organized, analytical, proactive, and able to make decisions. They must have the ability to mentor and collaborate with internal team members, have a passion for thoughtful design, and a commitment to delivering quality documentation.
Maintain a consistent and active role in diverse sized projects from inception through construction administration with support from team members based on project requirements
Proficient at executing schematic, design development and construction documentation phases of work, including active participation in developing high-quality project documentation in Revit that is consistent with project goals and objectives
Ability to communicate ideas using Revit (required), SketchUp, Bluebeam and Adobe Creative Suite preferred
Knowledge of major building systems and ability to proactively lead coordination with engineers to maintain design intent and project goals, as well as knowledge and understanding with building codes and construction to minimize project risk
Ability to research building materials, product selection and coordinate specifications with firm's specifications writer
Collaboratively develop creative design solutions for the advancement of the project and any necessary content for client related project presentations in which you may participate/lead
Ability to interact with clients and demonstrate communication and presentation skills related to leading projects from schematics through construction phase
Assist/support Construction Administration personnel with the review/process of submittals/RFIs, job site visits, and punch lists during the construction phase
Professional degree in architecture from an accredited program with State of Florida architectural license or ability to obtain reciprocity
10+ years of experience in an architectural office
Experience in one or more of the following project types is preferred: Education, Aviation, Cultural (Performing Arts Centers), Commercial, Civic or Sports facilities
Accommodating individual with a sense of urgency to multi-task on multiple projects and assignments
Flexibility to work in collaborative environment with a team, as well as independently
Strong graphic skills and technical capability to critically think through the development of a design into documentation, knowledge of drawing standards, and some understanding of code requirement/compliance
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Highly organized individual
Proficient in: Revit (required), SketchUp, Bluebeam, Adobe Suite, MS Office & Outlook
