We are searching for a technically proficient Architectural Construction Services Lead with an appreciation for design to be the main point of contact ensuring project intent is upheld throughout the construction process. We are looking for problem solver who will maintain a clear line of communication with the owner, contractor and design team by reviewing submittals, request for information, attend Construction Meetings, make field observations, document field reports, punch lists, and final completion. The role requires someone who is driven, has a sense of urgency and can adapt quickly to changes, while ensuring the construction documentation is being adhered to in the field. You will be expected to coordinate with architects who developed the construction documents, consultant teams, contractors and clients.
Efficiently process project documentation throughout construction
Administer contract documents and oversee the project ensuring that the construction team adheres to the design intent in the documents.
Manage exposure to potential financial and professional liabilities
Represent the firm in a professional manner, while maintaining our core values with clients, consultants and contractors
Review & markup RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, samples, product data, testing and specialty engineering to ensure material quality and specifications are being upheld
Track progression of project and review contractor's compliance with the construction schedule
Regular site visits, which include attending Owner/ Architect/Contractor meetings and creation and distribution of field reports of observations.
Manage project closeout, including construction punch list, O&M manuals, warranties and record documents
Candidate must demonstrate a minimum of 10+ years of field experience in architectural, construction, and/or engineering for projects in range of $1 – 50+ million.
Experience preferred in public and private sector, Florida-based educational, civic and commercial projects. Architecture degree is a plus.
An understanding of building code as well as building systems and how they integrate.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe software, Bluebeam and Procore are required, including other industry software strongly desired.
Regular travel to projects sites is required.
