The Historic Elk Mountain Hotel is looking for a Seasonal Housekeeper to join our team for the 2026 busy season (May through October).
We’re a 12-room historic inn with a public dining room, and cleanliness is at the core of our guest experience. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in creating welcoming spaces and enjoys working in a small, team-oriented environment where your work truly matters.
You’ll work closely with the General Manager and team to ensure rooms and common areas are consistently clean, organized, and ready for guests. This is a hands-on role with a mix of daily housekeeping, deep cleaning, and occasional support across the property.
Clean guest rooms and bathrooms to a high standard
Vacuum, sweep, dust, mop, and sanitize surfaces
Change linens, towels, and restock rooms for guest arrivals
Handle laundry, linens, and ironing as needed
Keep storage areas, supplies, and workspaces organized
Maintain cleanliness of common areas and outdoor spaces
Assist with light landscaping such as watering flowers and tidying grounds
Support deep cleaning projects during slower periods
Assist with event setup and teardown (tables, chairs, décor)
Communicate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
Help prioritize tasks based on occupancy and guest needs
Prioritizing room turnovers for arriving guests
Cleaning and resetting guest rooms and common areas
Laundry and supply organization
Supporting property upkeep or deep cleaning during slower days
This is a physically active role that requires attention to detail, efficiency, and consistency.
1+ year housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar environment
Strong reliability, honesty, and time management
Ability to work independently and stay organized
Physical stamina to meet daily demands and complete the full season
Customer service experience
Familiarity with cleaning products, tools, and best practices
Monthly Compensation: $2,000 – $3,000 depending on experience
