Margaret Rudd & Associates is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper (Independent Contractor) to support our vacation rental operations in Oak Island. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys staying active, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
As a key part of the guest experience, you’ll ensure each home is clean, well-prepared, and ready for arrival. This position requires consistency, efficiency, and a strong eye for detail, especially during high-volume turnover days.
Clean and prepare vacation rental properties between guest stays
Perform tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing bathrooms and kitchens
Report any maintenance issues, damages, or missing items
Follow cleaning checklists and company procedures to ensure consistency
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily cleaning schedules
Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred (hospitality or vacation rentals a plus)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Reliable transportation to travel between properties
Reliable phone communication - ability to use mobile aps
Ability to lift, carry, and move supplies and linens as needed
Availability to work Saturdays is required
Based on parameters of the clean
Opportunity for higher earnings during peak season and high-volume turnover days
Consistent work opportunities with an established local company
Required availability on Saturdays (primary turnover day)
Additional weekday availability based on business needs and seasonality
Flexible scheduling outside of required turnover days
