Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and jump into a part-time Maintenance Technician role? We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Tech who will demonstrate an ownership mindset while taking pride in keeping our portfolio of vacation rental properties guest-ready and well-maintained for our homeowners.
What Will Your Day Look Like?
Each shift brings new projects and tasks. You’ll start your day by logging into our task management app, Breezeway, to access and complete assignments efficiently. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our homes are functional, well-maintained, and welcoming by thoroughly completing each task using your maintenance expertise and time management skills. Teamwork will play a critical role in this job, and as such you must be able to work well with other team members, communicate well and be ready to facilitate delegated tasks.
This role is perfect for someone who is a self-starter that is looking to grow their career to the next level and enjoys hands-on work and the satisfaction of a job well done. Must be able to work weekends during the summer rental season - Saturdays and Sundays
Use Breezeway (mobile app) to complete tasks and scheduled inspections
Report issues through Breezeway as needed
Ensure HVAC systems and other home appliances and systems are functioning properly
Coordinate vendors for repairs as needed
Ensure all appliances, electronics and wi-fi are in working order
Install smart locks and related miscellaneous hardware
Perform light repairs (changing lightbulbs and smoke detector batteries, unclog sinks, changing air filters, etc.)
Complete pre-check-in and post-check-out home inspections
Perform Grills and Grounds duties on Saturdays throughout the summer
This includes cleaning grills and checking/changing propane, using a blower to clear debris off driveways and upkeep of outdoor furniture around patios and pools
Respond to emergency maintenance requests in the summer while minimizing guest disruption
Must be a self-starter
Experience in property maintenance
Active drivers license and reliable transportation
Comfortable using a mobile app to track and complete tasks
Experience with light maintenance repairs and installing hardware such as door locks and thermostats
Skills to facilitate Teamwork and Communication
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality work
Ability to see projects through to completion
Highly responsive and reliable
Hourly Wage: $20-30 per hour (based on experience and performance)
Mileage: Mileage reimbursement paid for personal vehicle use of work-related tasks
Schedule: Part-Time to Start, Regular business hours with flexibility to work after hours as needed - Candidates who perform well will have an opportunity to expand beyond a part-time role
