D & A Building Services is seeking a results-driven Sales Account Manager to lead business development and account performance across the West Coast Tampa market. This role is ideal for a proactive, self-directed professional who thrives in a competitive environment, takes ownership of outcomes, and consistently delivers growth.
You will be responsible for generating new business across janitorial, landscaping, and specialty facility services, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through close, and overseeing the ongoing performance and profitability of client contracts. Success in this role requires strong relationship-building skills, confidence engaging decision-makers, and the ability to balance sales execution with operational oversight to ensure exceptional service delivery and long-term client retention.
Generate new business across janitorial, landscaping, and specialty facility services
Prospect, cold call, and qualify new commercial and government accounts
Build relationships with key decision-makers and lead opportunities through the full sales cycle
Prepare estimates, budgets, proposals, presentations, and bid submissions
Support contract negotiation and coordinate new account setup with internal teams
Manage client relationships to ensure responsiveness, satisfaction, and long-term retention
Oversee service quality and contract performance through regular communication and inspections
Review account profitability and help maintain contract margins in line with company goals
Manage territory activity, reporting, and pipeline development to meet sales targets
Represent the company at industry events, client meetings, and networking functions
Travel as needed to support business development and account oversight
4+ years minimum experience in janitorial, facilities management, or contract service sales
(or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience)
Proven experience prospecting, qualifying, and closing new business with decision-makers
Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data (P&L, margins, contract performance) and take action
Experience managing client relationships and ensuring service delivery against contract standards
Prior experience in facilities services, janitorial, or B2B contract sales strongly preferred
Strong sales acumen with ability to prospect via phone, in-person, and written outreach
Persuasive communication skills with confidence engaging senior-level stakeholders
High level of organization and ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills with professionalism, adaptability, and sound judgment
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Commercial awareness with understanding of competitive market dynamics
High accountability and alignment with company goals, service standards, and client satisfaction
Ability to travel overnight as needed to support sales and account management
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs as required in property environments
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and communicate effectively across all levels of an organization

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence presenting ideas in both one-on-one and group settings
