The Housekeeping Manager at Best Western Apalach Inn will oversee all aspects of our housekeeping operations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. You will be responsible for supervising and training a team of room attendants and laundry personnel, ensuring that all guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas are impeccably maintained. The Housekeeping Manager will also manage inventory, respond to guest concerns, and work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
Hire, train, schedule, and manage housekeeping staff including room attendants and laundry personnel
Conduct regular room and property inspections to ensure cleanliness standards and brand expectations are met
Monitor and control inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities; place orders as needed
Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns related to housekeeping services
Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, and safety regulations at all times
Collaborate with front desk and maintenance teams to ensure timely room turnovers and maintenance issue resolution
Maintain clear and accurate records for inspections, lost & found, staff performance, and supply usage
Lead by example with a hands-on approach, stepping in to assist with cleaning duties during high-volume periods
Enforce company policies and procedures, administering disciplinary actions when necessary
Foster a positive team environment focused on guest satisfaction, efficiency, and accountability
1 year of some kind of management experience
Previous experience in a housekeeping role, preferably within the hospitality industry, is preferred; however, we will train the right applicant.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Able to frequently bend, reach, balance, and push or lift up to 20 pounds during shift.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed
Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and familiarity with cleaning products and equipment
