We are seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment / Diesel Mechanic to join our team at our shop in Leesburg, FL. This role is responsible for inspecting, servicing, maintaining, and repairing dredging equipment and a variety of construction machinery within our fleet.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with construction equipment and will be skilled in diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and completing routine maintenance. This position requires a physically capable individual who can effectively troubleshoot and resolve mechanical concerns both in the shop and on-site to minimize equipment downtime.
Inspect and diagnose defects in various heavy machinery like trucks, skid steers, excavators, dredges, and pumps by operating and assessing them thoroughly.
Perform adjustments, replacements, and repairs on faulty parts, as well as provide routine maintenance by cleaning and lubricating all equipment.
Promptly report any malfunctions or damages to the management team for immediate attention.
Willingly work in extreme weather conditions, whether indoors or outdoors.
Respond quickly to signals and pay attention to details at near and far ranges.
Complete tasks efficiently with or without direct supervision.
To be considered for this Heavy Equipment-Mechanic position in Leesburg, FL, US, you must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Successful candidates are required to pass a background check and drug screening.
A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving history is a must for this role.
Previous knowledge of hydraulics would be advantageous for this position.
The ability to lift up to 75 lbs is necessary.
You should have the physical stamina to endure prolonged periods of exertion without fatigue.
