Position Summary

We are seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment / Diesel Mechanic to join our team at our shop in Leesburg, FL. This role is responsible for inspecting, servicing, maintaining, and repairing dredging equipment and a variety of construction machinery within our fleet.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with construction equipment and will be skilled in diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and completing routine maintenance. This position requires a physically capable individual who can effectively troubleshoot and resolve mechanical concerns both in the shop and on-site to minimize equipment downtime.

What You’ll Do

  • Inspect and diagnose defects in various heavy machinery like trucks, skid steers, excavators, dredges, and pumps by operating and assessing them thoroughly.

  • Perform adjustments, replacements, and repairs on faulty parts, as well as provide routine maintenance by cleaning and lubricating all equipment.

  • Promptly report any malfunctions or damages to the management team for immediate attention.

  • Willingly work in extreme weather conditions, whether indoors or outdoors.

  • Respond quickly to signals and pay attention to details at near and far ranges.

  • Complete tasks efficiently with or without direct supervision.

Required Qualifications

  • To be considered for this Heavy Equipment-Mechanic position in Leesburg, FL, US, you must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

  • Successful candidates are required to pass a background check and drug screening.

  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving history is a must for this role.

  • Previous knowledge of hydraulics would be advantageous for this position.

  • The ability to lift up to 75 lbs is necessary.

  • You should have the physical stamina to endure prolonged periods of exertion without fatigue.
