This position reports directly to our Lead Quality and Housekeeper, who is on the ground with you and your primary point of contact for scheduling, property instructions, and day-to-day support.
As a Vacation Rental Housekeeper, your work revolves around guest turnovers - the window between one guest checking out and the next checking in. Turnovers can fall on any day of the week depending on the booking calendar, so flexibility is essential. The good news: we run a tight operation. You'll have your schedule at least 7 days out, and in most cases you'll have visibility well beyond that. No last-minute surprises, no chasing down your assignments.
Working hours fall within a 9am-4pm window. Most turnovers take 3-4 hours per property, and on days with multiple homes you may move between properties back-to-back. You won't have a fixed shift - your day is shaped by the booking schedule - but you'll always know what's coming well in advance.
This is flexible, independent work for someone who is self-directed, detail-driven, and takes real pride in leaving a home genuinely guest-ready.
Perform full property turnovers between guest stays, cleaning and resetting each home to 5-star standard from top to bottom
Strip, launder, fold, and stage all linens and towels per our bed-making and presentation standards
Clean all areas of the home including kitchens, bathrooms, living spaces, bedrooms, and outdoor areas
Restock guest supplies (toiletries, paper goods, kitchen essentials) and flag any inventory that needs replenishing
Complete and submit your digital turnover checklist with timestamped photos before departing each property
Report any damage, maintenance issues, missing items, or broken amenities through our team Slack channel
Follow property-specific cleaning guides provided for every home (no guesswork, no improvising)
Coordinate with the Lead Housekeeper on scheduling, property instructions, and any day-of changes
Support light staging and presentation resets to match each property's standards
Be available for occasional same-day turnovers during peak season (we give as much notice as possible)
Lives in Scituate or within 15 minutes of the South Shore
Reliable personal vehicle required - you will travel independently between properties
Available on weekends (Friday through Sunday); this is non-negotiable for this role
Extremely detail-oriented - you notice the things other people walk past
Trustworthy and professional; comfortable working independently inside private, high-end homes
Comfortable using a smartphone for checklist submissions, photo uploads, and Slack communication
Strong sense of ownership - you take pride in leaving a home genuinely guest-ready
Prior housekeeping, vacation rental, or hotel cleaning experience strongly preferred
