Position Summary
The Marketing & Events Manager will own strategy and execution end-to-end. This is not a coordinator role. This is a builder and operator role for someone ready to run the full marketing and events engine. The role is a 1099 contract position responsible for all VRNation marketing and event initiatives, serving as the central hub for content, campaigns, and event coordination, keeping everything aligned, on schedule, and producing results.
Responsibilities
Marketing & Content
Own social media strategy and execution across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube
Build and maintain a rolling content and marketing calendar
Create and publish content tied to events, education, sponsors, and community initiatives
Repurpose material from webinars, podcasts, and live events into ongoing marketing assets
Review and approve all marketing materials for brand alignment and quality
Campaigns & Growth
Lead marketing campaigns for the Annual Conference, VRNation Roadshows and Tours, Pro Academy, and the Podcast Station and Webinar series
Coordinate with the email marketing contractor to ensure campaign alignment across channels
Track performance and deliver insights to improve results over time
Website & Digital Experience
Manage and update the VRNation website including event pages, sponsor visibility, and content updates
Launch and maintain the Pro Academy section
Implement and manage website chat to improve engagement and conversions
Events & Execution
Oversee production of conference signage, printed materials, and event programs
Coordinate timelines with designers, printers, and internal stakeholders
Support event execution from both a marketing and logistics standpoint
Attend most in-person events and ensure on-site marketing is fully executed

Experience in events, hospitality, or the vacation rental industry is a strong plus.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in meeting and event planning
2+ years of digital marketing experience
Willingness to travel approximately 15% of the time
