Sunset Rentals is one of the largest and most well-established vacation rental management companies on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, a market that sees over 2.5 million visitors a year and hosts popular events such as the annual PGA RBC Heritage tournament. Founded in 1993, the company has experienced steady growth over the last three decades. 20+ full time local staff manage a portfolio of around 250 select vacation rental properties ranging from large oceanfront homes to two-bedroom villas.
Sunset Rentals is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Operations Manager to coordinate the day-to-day execution of property operations across our portfolio on Hilton Head Island. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who takes initiative, stays organized under pressure, and ensures every property is fully prepared to meet guest and owner expectations.
In this role, you will act as the central point of coordination for inspectors, maintenance personnel, cleaning companies, regimes, and vendors—ensuring work is completed efficiently, accurately, and on time. You will regularly assess property conditions and clearly communicate functional, mechanical, and aesthetic needs to homeowners while helping resolve guest and owner concerns quickly and professionally.

Willingness to work during peak holiday periods, including Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and New Year’s Day
Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize in fast-paced, guest and owner facing environments
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and guest-focused approach
Prior experience in vacation rentals, hospitality, or property management is a plus, but not required
Demonstrates a high level of patience and professionalism when working with guests in a variety of situations
Naturally curious and eager to learn, with a proactive approach to understanding properties, systems, and the local area
