Luxus Group is seeking a detail-oriented AR & AP Specialist to join our accounting team on a temporary contract basis. Reporting to the Senior Accountant, you will support accounts payable and accounts receivable operations across multiple business entities while ensuring financial records remain accurate, organized, and up to date.
This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys structured processes, meeting deadlines, and maintaining a high level of accuracy. You will work closely with vendors, internal stakeholders, and the accounting team to ensure timely payment processing, reconciliations, and financial recordkeeping.
This is a fully remote opportunity open to candidates based in Colombia who can work Mountain Time business hours.
Review accounts receivable invoices and accounts payable bills for proper approvals and account coding
Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies
Process vendor payments accurately and on schedule
Reconcile utility invoices, credit card transactions, and suspense accounts prior to month-end
Process intercompany transactions requiring AR and AP support
Maintain vendor documentation and financial records
Assist with reporting and audit preparation activities
Respond to vendor and internal stakeholder inquiries in a professional and timely manner
Support accounting operations through administrative and ad hoc projects as assigned
Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy across accounting functions
Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or general accounting
High school diploma required; accounting, finance, or bookkeeping education preferred
Experience working with accounting software such as Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems
Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines consistently
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Proactive problem-solver with a commitment to producing high-quality work
Availability to work Monday through Friday during Mountain Time business hours
$9 - 12 USD per hour, based on experience
