Fortuna Bakery is seeking a friendly and energetic Server to join our team in Davenport, Florida. In this customer-facing role, you will help create a positive experience for every guest by providing excellent service, assisting with menu selections, preparing beverages, and maintaining an organized and inviting bakery environment.
The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with customers, works well in a fast-paced setting, and takes pride in delivering exceptional hospitality.
Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service
Assist guests with selecting bakery items, sandwiches, pastries, and beverages
Take accurate customer orders and process payments through the POS system
Prepare and serve coffee and other basic beverages
Package pastries, breads, and food items neatly and accurately
Maintain clean, organized display cases, counters, and service areas
Restock bakery products and merchandise throughout the day
Follow food safety and sanitation standards
Support opening, closing, and daily operational tasks
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient service
Friendly, positive attitude with strong customer service skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Basic math skills and comfort handling cash transactions
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
Reliable, punctual, and dependable attendance
Ability to work well as part of a team
Previous barista experience
Previous experience in a bakery, café, coffee shop, restaurant, or food service environment
Experience operating a POS system
Familiarity with food handling and sanitation practices
Compensation: $14.00 per hour
