What You'll Do

  • Conduct thorough inspections of properties, including attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and other difficult-to-access areas.

  • Identify pest, termite, moisture, and structural conditions and translate your findings into practical recommendations.

  • Present solutions confidently and ask for the business.

  • Manage company-provided leads while creating additional opportunities through referrals, relationships, and proactive follow-up.

  • Use Orkin's digital sales tools to prepare proposals, document inspections, track opportunities, and maintain customer commitments.

  • Manage your schedule and sales pipeline with a high degree of independence.

  • Follow through, from the first conversation through the customer's decision.

  • Meet established sales, activity, quality, and customer-experience expectations.

  • Operate a company vehicle and perform all work in accordance with Orkin safety standards.

Qualifications

What You'll Need

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Valid driver's license

  • Ability to work independently in the field

  • Confidence communicating and presenting recommendations to customers

  • Ability to learn and consistently use a defined inspection and sales process

  • Willingness to obtain required state licenses; Orkin provides and pays for required training

  • Professional judgment, reliability, and personal accountability

Previous sales experience can help, but we're equally interested in people who demonstrate the drive, relationship skills, learning agility, and ownership required to succeed.

The Physical Side of the Job

This is a field sales position and the inspection is an essential part of the sale.

Candidates must be able to safely perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:

  • Using ladders within manufacturer specifications

  • Occasionally lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds

  • Accessing crawlspaces, attics, confined spaces, and rooftops

  • Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling

  • Wearing required PPE, including an OSHA-compliant respirator when necessary

  • Working in varying weather and environmental conditions

Compensation

  • Average first-year earnings of $80,000 - $100,000 (base salary plus commission).
