Position Summary

Florida Vacay Rentals is seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Technician to maintain our vacation rental properties throughout the Ormond Beach area. This role is ideal for a skilled problem-solver who enjoys variety, works well independently, and takes pride in keeping properties safe, functional, and guest-ready.

You'll handle preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and complete general repairs, respond to work orders through a mobile app, and communicate with other departments to ensure issues are resolved quickly and correctly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs across vacation rental properties

  • Troubleshoot basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues

  • Complete monthly HVAC preventive maintenance

  • Repair or replace plumbing fixtures, garbage disposals, ceiling fans, and other household components

  • Complete minor drywall, grout, painting, and cosmetic repairs

  • Assemble and repair furniture

  • Troubleshoot televisions, cable boxes, and remote controls

  • Inspect properties for maintenance needs and safety concerns

  • Respond to and complete work orders efficiently

  • Document repairs, parts, and materials through a mobile app

  • Communicate completed work and follow-up needs with appropriate departments

Required Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of professional maintenance or related repair experience

  • General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and household repairs

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to complete common repairs independently and safely

  • Comfortable using a smartphone and mobile work-order applications

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record for the past three years

  • Reliable transportation

  • Must live in or near Ormond Beach, Florida

  • Must be available to work one weekend day each week

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vacation rental, hotel, property management, or residential maintenance experience

  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs

  • Experience working in occupied or guest-facing properties

Compensation, Benefits & Schedule

Hourly Rate

$23 - $27 per hour
