Position Summary

Café de Colombia is seeking a friendly and dependable Bakery Server to provide attentive service while helping guests select bakery items, beverages, and prepared foods. In this customer-facing role, you will greet guests, explain menu offerings, take and prepare orders, process payments, and help maintain clean, stocked, and visually appealing service areas.

The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, enjoys connecting with customers, and works well as part of a team. You will also package bakery products, prepare basic beverages, and provide general support to keep daily operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and provide friendly, attentive service

  • Assist guests with selecting bakery items, beverages, and prepared foods

  • Explain menu items, ingredients, daily specials, and available products

  • Take customer orders accurately and process cash and electronic payments

  • Package bakery products carefully and attractively

  • Prepare basic beverages, including coffee

  • Keep display cases clean, stocked, organized, and visually appealing

  • Maintain clean and orderly counters, service areas, and customer spaces

  • Restock supplies and products as needed

  • Collaborate with team members to provide efficient service

  • Follow all applicable food safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

  • Friendly and positive attitude with strong customer service skills

  • Clear communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers and coworkers

  • Comfortable working efficiently in a busy customer-service setting

  • Basic math skills for handling cash and processing payments

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team

  • Availability to work rotating shifts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a bakery, café, restaurant, or similar customer-service setting

  • Previous barista experience

  • Familiarity with Colombian baked goods, food, and culture

Compensation, Benefits & More

Compensation: $14 - $16 an hour

Schedule: Rotating shifts

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time positions are available
