To support our attorneys and clients, we are seeking to add another experienced Commercial Litigation Paralegal to our team.
Position Summary
The Commercial Litigation Paralegal plays an integral role in supporting attorneys throughout all phases of complex commercial litigation. This position is responsible for independently managing litigation files, coordinating case activities, preparing legal documents, organizing discovery, maintaining deadlines, and assisting with trial preparation.
The ideal candidate is an experienced litigation professional who is highly organized, positive, proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities while providing exceptional support to attorneys and outstanding service to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Independently manage commercial litigation matters from inception through trial.
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, correspondence, and other litigation documents.
Coordinate document collection, review, productions, and eDiscovery.
Prepare attorneys for hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial.
Organize exhibits, witness files, trial notebooks, and case materials.
Maintain litigation calendars and monitor court deadlines.
Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, court personnel, and vendors.
Review, organize, summarize, and analyze records and discovery materials.
Maintain organized electronic and physical case files.
Accurately record billable time and maintain detailed billing narratives.
Perform additional litigation support duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of five (5) years of commercial, business, or complex civil litigation experience.
Thorough knowledge of Arizona civil litigation procedures.
Experience managing litigation matters from inception through trial.
Strong drafting, proofreading, and legal writing skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines with exceptional attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
Experience with litigation case management software (MyCase preferred).
eDiscovery experience is preferred.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
Ability to meet an annual billable expectation of 1,450 hours.
Compensation, Benefits, & Schedule
Annual Salary
$88,000 - $105,000
Bonus
Annual bonus is discretionary.
