Position Summary
Lake Tahoe Accommodations is seeking a detail-oriented Property Care Specialist to help ensure our vacation rental homes consistently meet the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and guest readiness.
This hands-on role serves as the eyes and ears of our operation in the field. You'll inspect properties, solve issues proactively, perform minor maintenance tasks, coordinate with vendors, and ensure every home is ready to deliver an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate enjoys working independently, takes ownership of their work, notices the details others miss, and takes pride in maintaining beautiful homes.

What You'll Do
Property Inspections & Quality Assurance
Conduct routine and on-demand property inspections using company standards and checklists
Ensure homes are staged and presented to match listing photos and guest expectations
Identify and document cleanliness, maintenance, or readiness concerns with detailed notes and photos
Maintain accurate property records and inspection reports
Proactively identify anything that could create confusion or frustration for guests
Property Care & Minor Maintenance
Restock approved guest supplies and organize inventory areas
Perform minor repairs such as tightening hardware, replacing light bulbs, and stabilizing furniture
Replace and charge batteries for locks, cameras, and monitoring devices
Assist with guest access issues, including lockouts and key access support
Deliver approved guest items during stays when needed
Vendor & Operations Support
Coordinate access for cleaners, maintenance vendors, inspectors, and delivery providers
Verify vendor work completion and document results
Identify and report technical issues such as internet outages, lock malfunctions, or offline devices
Support inventory management, linen tracking, and supply replenishment
Property Onboarding & Setup
Assist with preparing new properties for launch, including signage, labels, linens, and guest essentials
Participate in pre-launch walkthroughs to ensure guest readiness
Create and update property documentation, checklists, and how-to guides
Maintain accurate guidebooks and property information
Team Collaboration
Help train and provide feedback to housekeeping staff on quality standards
Assist with updating SOPs, inspection procedures, and operational checklists as needed
Required Qualifications
Experience in property management, housekeeping, short-term rentals, or hotels is required
Highly detail-oriented with a commitment to doing the job right the first time
Strong eye for presentation, staging, and property appearance
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
Excellent observational and problem-solving skills
Dependable, punctual, and accountable
Strong communication skills with the ability to document issues clearly
Comfortable using mobile apps, digital checklists, and task management software
Flexible and responsive when urgent situations arise

Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle required
Physical Requirements
Ability to travel between multiple properties throughout the workday
Ability to lift and carry supplies, linens, and equipment up to 40 pounds
Comfortable performing hands-on property tasks and minor repairs

Compensation
Hourly Range: $25 - 30, depending on experience
