Position Summary

As a Housekeeping Inspector, you'll be responsible for ensuring every Scenic Stays vacation home is spotless, fully stocked, and guest-ready before arrival. You'll inspect properties after each cleaning, identify anything that doesn't meet our standards, and work closely with housekeeping vendors and the operations team to resolve issues before guests walk through the door.

This is an ideal role for someone with exceptional attention to detail who notices the little things others miss. You'll help protect the guest experience by maintaining consistent quality across our portfolio while communicating clearly, staying organized, and keeping inspections on schedule.

What You'll Do

  • Inspect vacation rental homes after each cleaning to ensure they meet Scenic Stays' cleanliness and presentation standards.

  • Verify the proper placement of linens, towels, toiletries, amenities, and guest supplies.

  • Identify and report maintenance concerns, damages, missing items, and inventory shortages.

  • Provide constructive feedback to housekeeping teams when cleaning standards are not met.

  • Ensure every property is fully guest-ready prior to scheduled check-in times.

  • Communicate inspection results, delays, and special requests with Housekeeping, Guest Services, and Operations.

  • Assist with training and coaching housekeeping team members on company cleaning standards and expectations.

  • Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality assurance documentation.

  • Assist with light cleaning during peak occupancy periods or staffing shortages when needed.

  • Perform periodic inventory checks and report replenishment needs.

  • Deliver supplies to properties as needed to keep homes guest-ready.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience required.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Comfortable using smartphones, mobile apps, or inspection software (training provided).

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between properties.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous housekeeping inspection, quality control, or supervisory experience.

  • Experience working in vacation rentals, hotels, or hospitality operations.

Compensation

  • $18.00 - $19.00 per hour, based on experience.
