Position Summary

We're looking for a reliable and skilled Maintenance Handyman to join our team at Casago San Diego. In this hands-on role, you'll be the go-to problem solver for our vacation rental properties throughout Carlsbad, ensuring each home is guest-ready and well-maintained. You'll tackle everything from routine inspections and quick repairs to coordinating with contractors and keeping our properties looking their best. Key Responsibilities

Property Maintenance & Inspections

  • Perform routine inspections of assigned properties before guest and owner arrivals.

  • Carry out maintenance tasks (e.g., replacing light bulbs, unclogging drains, tightening hinges).

  • Identify and promptly report damages, repair needs, and safety hazards to the Vacation Rental Manager.

  • Assist with landscaping, pool care, and general property upkeep as directed.

Support to Management

  • Work directly under the supervision of the Vacation Rental Manager.

  • Provide access to contractors and assist with vendor visits.

  • Maintain accurate logs of property conditions, repair requests, and task completion.

  • Follow schedules and safety protocols as outlined by the Manager.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years prior experience in maintenance, repair, hospitality support required

  • Familiarity with home systems: HVAC, appliances.

  • Paint, and drywall repair

  • Strong attention to detail, punctuality, and dependability.

  • Be able to take direction well and timely and effectively execute assigned tasks.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Be able to identify and solve problems quickly

Compensation & Schedule

Hourly Salary$40 - $45

Schedule

  • Tuesday through Saturday, 9-6
