Apply to Lead Pool Technician
ABOUT BLUE METRIC POOLS
Blue Metric Pools is a high-end pool service company specializing in vacation rental properties on Siesta Key, Lido Key, and Anna Maria Island. We deliver pristine, perfectly balanced pools through AI-driven water testing and modern service software. Our reputation is built on precision, hospitality, and innovation — and we're growing.
THE ROLE
As our Lead Pool Technician, you own the route. You'll handle daily servicing, precision chemical dosing, and minor equipment repairs across some of the area's premier vacation rental properties, using digital tools like Pool Brain and WaterGuru to keep every pool guest-ready. Because our clients are vacation rentals, your schedule includes one weekend day — that's when turnovers happen and pools have to be perfect.
This is a growth position, not a dead-end route job. As we add routes and properties, this role is the launchpad into route leadership and, ultimately, an operations/office role for the right person. We'll put the path in writing.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Daily field service: perform pool servicing to a consistent, resort-level standard • Precision chemical dosing: review WaterGuru readings daily and dose using our data-backed methods
Minor repairs: diagnose and fix pump seals, o-rings, timers, salt cells, filter rebuilds, and similar equipment issues in the field
Software oversight: keep routes, jobs, and service data accurate and optimized in Pool Brain and WaterGuru
Bi-annual maintenance inspections: complete reports, tag equipment, and flag issues before they become guest problems
Inventory: monitor and restock chemicals and supplies
Communication: be the point of contact in the field, escalate same-day, and work directly with ownership
Team coordination: as routes grow, help coordinate additional techs and uphold service standards
Process improvement: spot inefficiencies and bring tech-forward solutions
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
2+ years solid pool service experience — high-end residential or vacation rental experience a strong plus
Hands-on minor repair skills (pumps, filters, timers, salt systems)
CPO certification preferred — not required. If you're not certified, we'll pay for your CPO course in your first 90 days, with a pay increase when you pass
Comfortable with digital tools (Pool Brain, WaterGuru, or similar)
Self-directed, reliable, and detail-obsessed — you'll run the route independently
Clean driving record
Able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in Florida heat
A commitment to precision, hospitality, and professionalism — our pools are part of a guest's vacation
