General Manager, Short-Term Rental Portfolio
Company Overview
Myrinn is dedicated to the art of travel, providing exceptional short-term rental experiences through innovative property management in the heart of Sedona, Arizona. As a fast-growing, locally rooted team, we handle every detail with care and creativity, combining hands-on hospitality with powerful technology to serve our homeowners and guests. We are committed to supporting one another, valuing collaboration, and taking pride in doing things right.
About the Role
Lead with accountability. Build with systems. Grow the portfolio.
We're looking for an experienced General Manager to lead Myrinn's short-term rental portfolio: operations, owner experience, guest experience, and people leadership. You'll lead a team already in place across each of these areas, holding them accountable to clear standards and consistent execution, while building the systems and processes this stage of growth requires.
This role is a direct report to the owner, Visionary of the company. Through your team, outcomes will be driven across the business through your team, not by carrying every task yourself. You'll run a disciplined weekly operating rhythm, hold department leaders accountable to clear KPIs, and be the face of Myrinn to homeowners.
This GM role leads two core areas of the business, Operations and Growth & Owner Success, each with an existing team you'll lead and develop.
What You'll Do
Team Leadership: Lead and hold accountable the Operations Manager, Owner Success Manager, Assistant Manager, and support staff across housekeeping, maintenance, inspections, guest communications, and virtual assistants.
Operating Rhythm: Run a consistent weekly leadership cadence, including scorecards, an issues list, and clear action follow-through, that produces a high level of problem solving. Experience with a structured operating system (e.g., EOS/Traction) is a strong plus.
Operations & Guest Experience: Hold the team accountable for efficient property onboarding (targeting 14 to 21 days), housekeeping, maintenance, inspections, and five-star guest service, reinforced by consistent use of Breezeway, Guesty, and Notion.
Owner Success & Growth: Guide the team in growing and retaining the portfolio, partner with revenue operations on pricing and occupancy, and ensure homeowners receive proactive check-ins, honest performance conversations, and consistent KPI-based reporting.
Financial Performance: Own the team's contribution to portfolio profitability, monitoring cost per home, departmental budgets, and revenue performance across the portfolio.
Cross-Department Coordination: Align cleaning, maintenance, guest services, and leadership teams, closing gaps in process and communication as the business grows.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure the team maintains all properties to Sedona's local ordinances, permitting requirements, and safety standards.
Reporting and Accountability: Track KPIs across the team, prepare performance reports, and present results to senior leadership on a regular cadence.
What Success Looks Like
In your first 6 to 12 months:
Have the team operating on a consistent weekly rhythm, with scorecards in place and issues resolved on schedule rather than lingering.
Bring property onboarding consistently within the 14 to 21 day standard.
Hold guest review scores and cleaning/inspection scores steady or improving across the portfolio.
Be recognized by homeowners for clear, consistent communication and follow-through.
Utilize data dashboards throughout the team to drive strategy and growth.
Show a stable, retained portfolio that is positioned to keep growing.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in short-term rentals, hospitality, or property management, including experience leading multiple departments (e.g., housekeeping, maintenance, guest experience) simultaneously.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience managing through other leaders and holding them accountable to KPIs.
Financial acumen: comfortable owning budgets, cost per home, and departmental profitability, and presenting performance to senior leadership.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, including direct, professional conversations about performance.
Experience with property management systems is preferred but not required.
Comfortable working with KPIs and dashboards to run the business, not just intuition.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Breezeway or similar field operations software.
Experience working within a structured operating system such as EOS/Traction.
Familiarity with dynamic pricing strategies and homeowner relationship management.
Familiarity with Sedona's short-term rental market.
Location & Work Style
Based out of or regularly present in Sedona/Flagstaff*
*flexibility if working from Phoenix/Scottsdale when not in the Sedona area
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $85,000 to $105,000, commensurate with experience.
Performance bonus: tied to portfolio and operational KPIs
Paid time off: including vacation and sick time.
Job Type: Full-time
